Fuelled by a need for a society run by greener and renewable energy, India and Germany have set ambitious targets to make urban mobility more sustainable.There is a consensus among the various stakeholders that these targets cannot be achieved by working in silos, and that collaboration and cooperation are the way forward. This has been highlighted by the Declaration of Intent on the Indo- German Partnership on Green Urban Mobility. 
To further this cause, at the DWIH New Delhi, we have been working to create meaningful and solution-oriented dialogue on sustainable urban mobility. This year, in several interactive formats, we brought together researchers from diverse fields and encouraged exchange of ideas. 
In this edition, we bring to you insights, conversations, first-hand experiences and the latest developments in India and Germany on the topic and expert opinions on why should both the countries cooperate for a greener, cleaner urban mobility system. 

Integrated Engineering For Future Mobility

25 researchers from interdisciplinary backgrounds came together for a dynamic and design thinking workshop on 'Integrated Engineering for Future Mobility', organized by DWIH New Delhi  along with TU9 – German Universities of Technology, CSIR and IIT Delhi, in March 2023. The participants were mentored by research experts from India and Germany.
